1it is impossible for us to accomplish the transformation of the whole society overnight. 应改为:it is impossible for us to transform the whole society overnight.

2they should conduct a careful examination of...应改为:the should carefully examine...

3to bring about a change in this state of affairs.

4untill China realize industrial modernization. 应改为:untill China modernizes its industry.

1approval should be given to all these projects. 应改为:all these projects should be approved.

2solutions to these problems can be found only through..." 应改为:these problems can be solved only through...

TO在使用 to 时应该注意的问题to maketo make an investigation of = to investigateto make a careful study of = to study carefullyto make an analysis of = to analyze

其他to give guidance to = to guideto engage in free discussion of = to discuss freelyto register an increase = to increase

1our troops used the method of slow advance.

2in all matters we must assume the attitude of admitting what we do and do not. 应改为:we should always admit what we do and do not know.

3we should adopt the principle of combining solutions to people's immediate difficulties with long-term development.应改为:we should combine solving people's immediate problems with promoting long-term development.或者更地道的表达为:we should try to solve people's immediate problems and at the same time to promote long-term development.

第三个词是形容词this measure will have a restrictive effect on the activities oof speculators.真正起作用的是形容词restrictive,官方说法:同志们一定要记住抓重点、抓核心,集中力量解决主要矛盾应改为:this measure will restrict the activities of speculators.
